California to free 27 000 inmates?

Apparently, a bill that might pass in California would free up over 27 000 inmates in 2009-10 and 37,000 during 2010-11. And I am actually for that. Let me explain.

Stupid crimes like smoking pot should be banned from the books of law. For many reasons, actually.

• It’s not worst than drinking alcohol.
• It can be therapeutic for terminally ill patients (helps for the pain)
• It’s already “legal” as “medical marijuana” in some states of the USA (yes, yes it is)

And, no, I’m not a smoker personally. I just think people should be free to put whatever they want in their body. At least, to an extent. I probably wouldn’t agree on crack and Heroin™.

It’s probably time to start thinking about the real criminals. Guess who they are? Yes, we’re all working for them.
